BIPOC Practice Group

Every other Sunday from 10 am-12 pm, Pacific.

Finding Your Voice: Practical Tools for Stepping into Your Full Humanity

For more than five years, People of Colour for NVC (Nonviolent Communication) has provided a warm, supportive community for BIPOC people seeking connection, understanding, and practical tools for navigating challenging experiences.

This practice group is a space to be heard, supported, and met with compassion. You do not need to register for each individual call—simply register once for the group.

What We Explore Together

During our calls, we support one another through real-life situations and challenges, such as:

  • Someone says something racist or otherwise dehumanizing. How might you respond?

  • You are the only Black member of your community housing co-op, and the police have been called on you. How would you respond and care for yourself?

  • A co-worker continually mispronounces your name and finds it funny. What could you say or do?

  • You are dreading seeing your father at an upcoming family gathering and want support in caring for yourself.

  • You simply need a space where you can be heard, understood, and supported.

Together, we explore ways to respond that are clear, grounded, aligned with your values, and affirming of your humanity.
